Consciousness Explored

I just watched The Secret You, a free video online, that explores the nature of consciousness. For those with DID, it is possible you may find this too triggering to watch. At one point I know I would have been unable to watch. Today I found it fascinating.

Basically, consciousness is the integration of thought, and those of us with DID, did not have that integration. And in not having that integration of thought neurons, we did not have free will.

Some survivors know, and it has been proven, that the technology in the public realm now was known at least 20 years ago to the scientific underground. Knowing that, you can see in this film ways our programmers could have really messed with our brains and/or created certain types of alters.

I know virtually reality was used on me when I was younger which is an experience that feels real and could have been made traumatic. These new methods could just have easily been used for nefarious purposes.

Sex Crimes

Sex crimes are related to human instincts. As biological creatures, human begins have sexual drives and sexual urges. When these urges become uncontrollable, individual people are sometimes driven to acts that society does not approve of. These acts may not be criminal. But when the acts are criminal, the punishments are often very severe.

One of the most striking forms of sex crimes is prostitution. A centuries-old practice, prostitution is the selling of one's sex. Many cities have so-called "Red Light Districts" where prostitutes offer their services. When prostitutes are caught be police, they often do not face much jail time because they are seen as victims. But when clients of prostitutes (who are usually men, because prostitutes are usually women) are caught they can face severe jail time.

Contraception
Even if your under 16 (legal age for sex) your doctor can still prescribe you the pill without your parents consent, and boys can get free condoms from places like your local young persons clinics and it is legal to buy condoms under the age of 16 from supermarkets, petrol stations and vending machines. Sex
The legal age that you can consent to sex is 16, but if your a girl under 16 having sex you are not commiting a criminal offence, however the person having sex with you is, even if you have given your consent. Note: These are UK laws and can vary from country to country.

Love, Sex, and The Teenage Brain

Teen romance and the possibility of sex...It is one of the trickiest and difficult topics that we, as parents, talk to our kids about. Making sure your teenager has good information and a healthy attitude about opposite sex relationships is a challenging parental responsibility. We know that our teenagers are going to parties, hanging out together, sometimes drinking and some are having sex.

According to a 2005 Statistics Canada report:

o About 12% of teens have had sexual intercourse by age 15 and by the time they reach the age of 17, 28% teens have. By age 24, 80% of young adults have had sexual intercourse.

o Of the sexually active youth between age 15 and 24, over one third of them had more than one partner in a year and 30% did not use a condom the last time they had intercourse.

Teen Sex Statistics - Do "Trendy Sexual Behaviors" Give Reason to Brag

How great is the number for those who indulge in teen sex, regardless of numeral configuration, even if that number be one, then it is a problem and more so if both parties are unaware of what can rise from having unprotected sex. The outcome can be that of falling pregnant or catching a sexually transmitted disease (STD.) Okay, getting together with the opposite sex will eventually happen at some time or other (if gay same agenda) so why not make that some time "the right time." When is the right time, this will depend on what your beliefs are as to whether 15 16 17 years is ideal for a sexual relationship. Remember it is a crime to have underage sex. If you are adamant to go ahead with coupling then at least do your homework first. You need to consider all possibilities which contribute to an unwanted pregnancy occurring or worse still catching a disease that can do more damage that you can imagine.

Juvenile Delinquency in Criminal Law

The term juvenile delinquency refers to the age group of criminals who are not adults. The overwhelming majority of legal systems in the world have special rules and regulations to deal with this group. The few exceptions are in the Middle East and in a few African countries, where kids are often tried as adults.

Some of the measures taken by most states to deal with juvenile delinquents include special detention centers and different sentences for the same crimes. The theory here is that the mind is not really developed until a person reaches at least 18, and so it is not fair to owe the rest of your life to jail time if you made a terrible decision when you were 11 years old.There are numerous theories on the causes of crime, and many of these can also be applied to the underage spectrum.

How to Prevent Juvenile Crime

When juvenile crime explodes in the community, many citizens may give up hope, thinking only in terms of their property loss of value. Some, given the possibility, may plan to leave the neighborhood in search for safer surroundings. That would be quite a pessimistic surrender.

Complaining to police and authorities for their lack of efficient prevention is missing the point. One should admit that there is a limit to what can be expected from them. There is however something else more effective to do if one happens to live in a youth crime stricken place.

One should in fact inquire what could the citizens themselves do to improve the quality of their life. Whatever the causes of juvenile delinquency that are responsible for the uncivilized behavior of those youth, it is not by repressive means alone that the problem is solved.
